A little over ten months of preparation, the 1st draft of Mexican wine festival on the Riviera Maya, developed by Grupo Quinta, Xcaret, Fideiconmiso for the promotion of tourism in the Riviera Maya and Association of Hotels of the Riviera Maya has a date , will be 'held from 9 to 12 March 2011.

In this festival more than 50 labels of wine from 13 different Mexican wineries, from those with great tradition and international name to the smallest wineries producing artisan wine.

Opening Ceremony

Wednesday 9 March at 7 pm

Fifth Avenue and 38th Street is decked out with the guest wineries, we'll get to taste 50 of their wine labels. Enjoy wines of great tradition, discover the most awarded wines and know artisan wines 100% Mexican.

Series of conferences, workshops and tastings

Thursday 10 and Friday 11 March - from 9 am to 6 pm

Winemakers, Sommeliers, opinion leaders, consultants wines, Wine Marketing consultants, experts, journalists, bring invaluable knowledge to share through more than 40 conferences, workshops and trainings. Some of these conferences will be endorsed and certified by institutions, offering curricular value. The venue will be The Royal Hotel, Playa del Carmen.

Restaurant Food & Wine Ambassadors

Thursday 10 and Friday 11 March - from 8 pm to 10 pm

Thirteen of the Riviera Maya restaurants open their doors to present Pairing Dinners, which merges the knowledge of each restaurant Chef with the hosted Wine House Sommerliers creating unique flavors. Space is limited to 30 people per restaurant, so reservations are suggested.

Conferences - Round table

Saturday March 12 - from 10 am to 6 pm

Xcaret Park opens at 10:00 am to begin with the Keynote on The Island and The Open Forum, closing the cycle with a round table conference where current Mexican wine personalities, wineries, distributors,consumer centers and Consumers discuss the topic: "The reality and future of Mexican wine in Mexico. "

Harvest Night

Saturday March 12 - from 7 pm to 11,20 pm

La Hacienda Henequenera at Xcaret, an authentic Yucatan Hacienda, whose nineteenth-century neoclassical style becomes the ideal environment for closure and close the festival in an evening of vintage. Various elements of art takes us on a Mexico filled with traditions and life. The wineries will surprise us with the winning wines and new releases that are prepared for this 2011. A gala night, full of musical expressions, dance and folklore takes us on a unique bohemian atmosphere of a night of celebration.
